Sight Seeing in the U.K. in October

London

Here's what I'd like to see. I am going to buy a 2 day London pass for 49 pounds or $79.60 as I can see lots of things and get in free.

1. Charles Dickens Museum
I want to go here because of his novel A Christmas Carol featuring Ebenezer Scrooge and four spirits. It is in central London and has 100,000 items, including his books, artwork and manuscripts. It really was his home from 1837 to 1839.

Mr. Scrooge later meets the jolly Ghost of Christmas Present.

2. Big Ben
It's the most famous monument in London and has been featured in many movies such as Peter Pan, Cars 2, Mary Poppins, as well as Harry Potter. The name Big Ben describes the tower, the clock and the bell. The Elizabeth Tower is at the north end of the Houses of Parliament. It's like our Washington D.C.

Peter, Wendy, John and Michael land on Big Ben.

Everyone has seen Big Ben, though not all in the same way.

3. Shakespeare's Old Globe Theater.
I love Shakespeare's stories such as A Midsummer Nights Dream or Romeo and Juliet. Shakespeare wrote 37 plays. He was also an actor and managed the theater. I would like to see one of his plays there.

4. Cartoon Museum
Because I LOVE cartoons and animation. I would really love to go to this museum in London.

5. Thames River Cruise
It's absolutely FUN to ride aboard a boat. I will purchase a London Pass, so this trip is free and I can see the sights on this map.
Look out! London Bridge is falling down!

6. London Zoo
I live near the San Diego Zoo, so I'm curious of what animals they have there. Perhaps it's the zoo Harry Potter visits in the first adventure.

7. Pollocks Toy Museum
Down in our other town in San Miguel de Allende is a toy museum on San Francisco Street. I'm curious to see what toys they have in London.

8. Buckingham Palace
I've always been interested in Buckingham Palace ever since I was 11 years old. It feel nice to touch to black, tall, fuzzy hats of the guards or wear at Halloween. Super fancy buildings have been attracting me and I especially like the music for Buckingham Palace.

Wouldn't you like to live here?
