Leavin' on a Jet Plane for the UK

I have $6000 to spend on a dream trip to the U.K., and I want to go to these countries: Scotland, England, and Ireland. As a first task, I must define "WANDERLUST". Wanderlust is a strong innate desire to rove or travel about. This definition is pretty new to me. Mum (I'm practicing my British accent) and Dad have wanderlust, but not me. In truth, I'm a very good traveler, because twice a year, as many of you laddies (I'm also getting ready for Scotland) know, a travel to Central Mexico. We have a second home in San Miguel de Allende. In my own words, wanderlust is a absolute strong wish to journey around the world. Maybe I'll even get lucky and find a shamrock.

I will be traveling as a backpacker on a tight budget and need to make my cash last. In England, I will need British pounds for England and Scotland. In Ireland I will need Euros.

The British pound

In Scotland they use pounds, but print Scottish bank notes too.

In Ireland I'll need Euros

I found out when you travel to another country you have to convert your money to another currency. I only have $6,000 for my trip and so I thought I would start out by seeing what that equals in British sterling and Euros.
